OnePlus has released the first Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 open beta for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, announced back in February with OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11. The OxygenOS 12 open beta 1 brings a refreshed user interface and new features to the Nord CE 2 5G, along with improvements to the OnePlus Shelf and dark mode. The software algorithms have been updated and improved to provide better face recognition and identify different skin colors.

The new update includes multiple brushes, strokes, and colors to choose from, as well as support for color adjustment. However, there are some issues with the update that you should be aware of before installing it. For example, the time on the AOD is displayed abnormally, and video details don’t include the location information.

New styles have been added to cards, making the data inside them more visually appealing and easy to read. There is also now easy access to OnePlus Scout from the shelf, allowing you to search multiple contents on your phone, including apps, settings, and media data. Lastly, there is also a OnePlus Watch card on the shelf so you can easily glance at your health status, time, and weather.
Work-Life Balance
the setting newly added work-life balance feature allows you to effortlessly switch between work and life mode via quick settings. The newly supported automatic work/life mode switching is based on specific locations, wi-fi networks, and time. It also brings customized app notification profiles according to the personalization setting.

The gallery layout has been improved with new features including the ability to switch between different layouts using a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognizing the best-quality pictures, and cropping the thumbnail based on the content.

Overall the new update comes with a lot more changes and improvements, even though OnePlus provided Android 11 out of the box in Nord CE 2 5G, they rolled out Oxygen OS 12 with Android 12 finally. The file size is showing 4.66GB.
